During grand festivals, Manchu women wear stunning, tall, fan-like black headdresses called Liangbatou (two-bow headdress) decorated with large silk flowers, jade ornaments, and sweeping tassels.

They have a unique traditional process where they dry, scrape, and soften the skins of large salmon and carp, sewing the skin together with fish-bone needles to create tough, waterproof coats and boots.
